Hello, my name is Jonty (31) and I'm from UK. I'm currently helping fundraise for my friend Aya and her family who are currently witnessing the horrors of Israeli occupation and genocide in Gaza

Below is Aya's story:

My name is Aya, a Palestinian girl from Gaza. I live with my mom, my dad and my injured brother. The war has shattered all my dreams and my mother and brother are both sick because of the difficult conditions we are experiencing

One morning, the bombs woke us up. Our home was completely destroyed. We were displaced and forced to live in a tent — a piece of fabric that doesn’t keep out the cold or the heat. These conditions we have faced for over 21 months.

We are breaking slowly under the oppresive conditions. Prices in the market are unbelievably high, and we can barely afford bread. Clean water is a luxury. Every day is a fight for the basics.

All I ask for is a chance — a chance to study, to live with dignity, and to become what I was meant to be.
